ending

After more than one year of intense work, it was October 28 when I finished the last mastering and so, the project's done. First of all, let's do a reminder of all the things this project has involved:

It all started with the aim of creating a Professional Sounding EP focused on electronic music, and our main goal was always to achieve that spectacular sound that would give the EP the quality that it deserves. I had loads of ideas with no correlation between them, so I organized them to start creating the product. The most interesting part was the fact that I started everything by thinking of a story to tell, and then build the rest on top based on that story so that everything followed the same path and had the same sense. The first months of the composition process where kind of aimless, and so it was very hard to come up with a good idea. Moreover, none of the ideas I had had anything in common with each other, so it was all a big mess. That's when I realized I had to change my mind, and I started focusing on that story I wanted to base the music on. Since then everything started moving forward. The EP started to have coherence and the first lyrics came in. The first song I wrote was loneliness and I can tell that's were the project begin to really grow on me. Then up and trust were composed, and the intro Track was the last one made, in order to make the listener understand what he was about to listen. While these song were in the process of recording and mixing, I also started to work on the artwork and the aesthetics. The last step was the mastering process, which involved being in contact with the artists I worked with to make decisions on how we wanted it to sound. Once this was finished the ep was finally done.

has become a part of my life during this year. Almost every single day new  things came to my mind and all the songs that ended on the EP really grew on me, making me feel proud of the final product. However, I've had loads of issues I had to deal with such as not being able to meet with the singers to practice the song or struggling with a Mix or Mastering, apart from the typical problems such as "Your computer has crashed. Please, restart it". But in the end, I can say I'm really proud of the outcome of the project, and the principal objective, which was creating a professional sounding ep, has been acomplished.
